The non-profit organization Child Care Circle e.V. was founded in 2013. However, the true beginnings of its work and the vision behind it date back to 2004.

Uganda is my homeland. Together with other children, I grew up in the care of several women in the village of Kyewanise (a neighboring village of Kayabwe). They took us in and cared for us as if we were their own. Growing up without my parents and experiencing poverty firsthand, I carry a deep desire to support children in need in Uganda.

Cycle of Poverty
Especially in rural areas, many people live in unimaginable poverty. As in every crisis, it is the children who suffer the most. They have little to no perspective in life. Attending school is an unattainable dream for many, which means the cycle of poverty continues unbroken.
Our Beginning
We want to make a difference in the lives of our children. We see our mission in supporting, encouraging, and empowering them. Our children should have the opportunity to grow and thrive according to their strengths and passions. We want to see young people grow into individuals who take responsibility for themselves and others.
Our Mission
We want to make a lasting difference in the lives of our children. Our mission is to support, encourage, and empower them. Every child should have the opportunity to grow and thrive according to their strengths and interests. We aim to see young people grow into individuals who take responsibility for themselves and for others.
Our Vision
Our vision is for our children to have a place they can call home — a place where they are free to simply be children. As carefree as possible. A place where they don’t have to worry about what they will eat tomorrow. A place where they feel accepted, valued, and safe.
